 Mauritius is a volcanic island off the south east coast of Africa, formally Dutch, French and then a British colony until 1968 Mauritius in its history was an important island in the trade routes to the east, Mauritius has a fascinating landscape and eco system, a volcanic island surrounded by coral reefs protecting its lagoons and white beaches, the only known habitat of the extinct Dodo, please enjoy a few images of this fascinating place.
